Doctoral Colloquium

The Doctoral Colloquium at EBT 2025 invites PhD students conducting research in the broad field of electronic business and digital transformation to present their ongoing or planned research. This session aims to foster academic exchange, enable networking, and provide constructive feedback from senior researchers, helping young scholars refine their methodologies and enhance the impact of their work. Each participant will have the opportunity to present in a supportive environment and engage in discussions with a multidisciplinary audience.

The colloquium welcomes contributions across a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

The aim of the colloquium is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, provide constructive feedback, and support young researchers in refining their theoretical frameworks, research questions, and practical contributions. Participants will benefit from critical insights provided by academic mentors and industry practitioners, as well as from networking opportunities with fellow researchers and future collaborators.

All paper submissions for Doctoral Colloquium must follow the template and must contain following sections:

  1. Research problem
    A clear definition of the central issue or challenge being addressed by the research, including its significance within the chosen field of e-business and digital transformation.
  2. Outline of objectives
    A concise statement of the primary goals and specific research questions or hypotheses the study aims to explore or answer.
  3. State of the art
    A brief overview of the current body of knowledge related to the research topic, highlighting key theories, recent developments, and existing gaps the proposed study intends to address.
  4. Methodology
    A description of the research approach, including data collection and analysis methods, tools, models, or frameworks that will be used to conduct the study.
  5. Expected outcome
    An explanation of the anticipated contributions and practical implications of the research, including potential benefits for academia, industry, or society.
  6. Stage of the research
    A summary of the current progress of the research, including completed tasks, ongoing activities, and the planned timeline for future work.
  7. References
    A list of key academic sources cited throughout the submission, demonstrating the theoretical and empirical foundations of the proposed research.

All other sections can be added if needed, as well as subsections and subsubsections.

All paper submissions will be included in EBT 2025 Proceedings.
