Abstract

Factoring is a financial service that involves the purchase of a company's accounts receivable (invoices) by a third-party financial company known as a factor. Alongside the other financial services, factoring has witnessed major technological disruptionс in the last few decades. The aim of this paper is to review the literature on the digitalization of factoring services. For this purpose, a quick scoping review of the literature has been conducted. The results show that the main technologies disrupting this industry are blockchain and artificial intelligence.
